sourcing materials from waste streams keeps good materials from reaching their end of life & prevents new materials from being extracted. it’s a win-win.

i refuse to stock any petroleum derived glues, solvents, stains or finishes in my studio. i use only biodegradable products to fill all these roles. it’s nothing new; it’s simply how it used to be done.

no mass production. each piece is crafted thoughtfully to fully utilize the material & minimize new waste. today’s leftovers can be the inspiration for tomorrow’s design.

working with a material’s natural form dictates the design. this is true problem solving to achieve a timeless style as opposed to merely catering to momentary trends.

change is constant. education should be too. i’m committed to researching new supplies, techniques & processes as well as sharing what i learn.
